Who we are
At Daisy Dental, our mission is to deliver compassionate, high-quality dental care directly to individuals in assisted living communities. We are dedicated to preserving dignity and comfort by providing gentle examinations and palliative care to those with diminished physical or mental health. When more extensive treatment is needed, we coordinate comprehensive care through trusted dental partners—ensuring continuity, respect, and peace of mind for patients and their families.
Meet Dr. Vowell
Elaine Vowell is the founder and chief of care at Daisy Dental. With over 20 years of experience in general dentistry and a successful business owner, she launched Daisy Dental to provide the personalized dental care she wanted for her own aging parents.
“My memories of my father are big. He was a big presence—he made the decisions, he loved to eat, and he filled every room he entered. But during the last year of his life, everything changed. He diminished, both physically and mentally. Decisions were made for him, but one thing remained: he still wanted to eat.
His quality of life mattered deeply to me. I was able to adjust his dentures chairside, and that small act made a big difference in his final days. It brought him comfort, dignity, and the ability to enjoy meals again.
I created Daisy Dental because I know my father is not alone. There are many older adults who need compassionate, chairside dental care—especially those living in assisted living or skilled nursing homes. Daisy Dental is centered on comfort: relieving tooth and denture pain, enabling loved ones to eat again, and preventing more serious issues like root canals or extractions through proactive care. When needed, we also provide palliative services and coordinate comprehensive treatment with outside providers.
Everyone deserves to eat without pain. Everyone deserves dignity in their care. That is the heart of Daisy Dental.”
